The purpose of facilitation training is to prepare mental health consumers with an interest and aptitude for group facilitation to serve as facilitators in MHAV educational programs and serve as facilitators of educational programs in their local community. Our goal is to recruit and train a diverse group of faculty and skilled facilitators from across the Commonwealth.
Goal:
To prepare a cadre of trainer/facilitators who can assist on a contractual basis in facilitating CELT, other MHAV transformational programs and serve as a professional and polished trainer/facilitator for transformation education in their local community.
Learning Objectives:
- Opening, sequencing and closing an effective training program
Framing and front loading educational initiatives for optimal learning and
growth
- Managing group energy and individual investment in the learning process
- Preparing and organizing lesson plans and presentations
- Effective visual aids and training materials
- Debriefing models such as “What, So What, Now What” and EIAGA
(Experience, Identifying, Analyzing, Generalizing and Applying)
- Effectively facilitating transfers of learning
- Risk Management Potential Model
